Special Education

The Special Education Teacher provides instructional services to Native American students in elementary grades at the Saginaw Chippewa Academy. Four years later, with a Masters in health education and a minor in psychology, I taught my first university health class. If any secondary Special Education students in the class are not being assessed against alternative standards, however, the Praxis II Fundamental Subjects test 5511 is not sufficient for demonstrating subject competence. Special education teachers, in most instances, do not get as much appreciation as their general education colleagues. There are special schools (Swedish:Särskola) for students with low abilities to attend normal education.
