The mission of AEPP within the New York State Education Department is to promote, develop, and support adult education programs with the goal of providing adult students with successful pathways and transitions to post secondary education, apprenticeship training, employment opportunities, and the workforce. Each year our adult education classes help thousands of learners to achieve their goals and ambitions, and we are here to help you too. Adult Basic Education (ABE) — For adults, 16 years or older, who did not graduate from high school and who want to improve their basic skills.
