The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physical Education is offered for students seeking a Tennessee K-12 Physical Education Teaching License. The Strategy urges stakeholders to take action at global, regional and local levels to increase physical activity. PED-432 also serves as the second required philosophy core for Physical Education majors. Students will use observation tools in public school settings designed to help them recognize the varied responsibilities and skills needed in teaching physical education. This event attracts education practitioners from across the southwest of England to share best practice and enhance teaching. The design of the program reflects the school year, so you have the opportunity to undertake on-going school experience and ensure integration of knowledge of teaching and learning with practice. The elementary school master schedule will reflect an average of 90 minutes of physical education per week. Practicum experiences in teaching physical education to children with special emphasis on lesson planning, management, assessment, task presentation, and content development. Possible topics include: obesity and physical activity, children and activity, workplace wellness, and Christianity and the body.
