Wageningen University is extending its campus by offering online masters and MOOCs (Massive Open Online Course) as well as professional education by distance learning. For programs that only have one cohort start per year, students who miss a quarter/semester may have to wait an entire year before continuing their program. The Online Education Policy Initiative will build on the observations of the Task Force, extending them beyond MIT and sharing analyses of our ongoing experiments with a national audience of policymakers and thought leaders in higher education. Online education is suitable for a wide range of people, young and old, working or unemployed, experienced or inexperienced.
